Job Details

Position: Temporary Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Indigo Hall, Charleston, SC

Duration: 6-week assignment starting August 4th, with potential extension to 12 weeks

Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Rate: $35/hr

About the Role

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• 0-1 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans, including exercises and ADL training
• Help patients improve functional abilities and independence
• Document patient responses and progress accurately
• Educate patients and families on exercises and adaptive techniques
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care
• Support OT evaluations and provide observations
• Perform other duties as assigned
