Synchrony Rehab is seeking a licensed Temporary Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Indigo Hall, a dynamic Senior Living Community in Charleston, SC.

This is a temporary 6-week assignment starting August 4th, with potential extension to 12 weeks.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Rate: $35/hr

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Job Summary: The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting, adhering to professional and ethical standards.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid state OTA license or certification, current CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program; 0-1 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises, ADL training, and interventions.
• Support patients with exercises and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Maintain documentation of patient responses, progress, and report to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and strategies for continued progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
