Roscoe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Roscoe, NY, seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its rehabilitation team under OT supervision. You will deliver interventions to help residents improve function and independence, contributing to their highest level of performance.

This part-time, on-site position offers competitive pay ($29–$31/hour) and benefits within a supportive, resident-centered setting in the Catskill Mountains.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an OT AOTA-approved program.
• Valid New York State COTA license required.
• Newly licensed COTAs welcome to apply.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment programs under the supervision of an OT.
• Assist with resident assessments and contribute to treatment planning within the COTA scope.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional abilities, ADLs, mobility, strength, and independence.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate findings to the supervising OT.
• Complete documentation, care plans, billing, and clinical records accurately and timely.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs.
• Train and support rehabilitation aides as assigned.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure residents receive prescribed therapy services and treatment minutes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
