Job summary

Post Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the Medford, NY rehabilitation team. This full-time role focuses on helping residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting regain independence through targeted activities and therapeutic interventions.

You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, supporting self-care, upper extremity function, and daily living activities, while contributing to progress notes and care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license is required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in a skilled nursing setting is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with self-care, upper extremity function, coordination, balance, and daily living activities.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to support functional goals and independence.
• Reinforce adaptive techniques and therapeutic exercises established by the OT.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Complete accurate documentation in accordance with facility standards.

Post Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, helping them improve independence and confidence in their daily activities.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents with activities focused on self-care, upper extremity function, coordination, balance, and daily living skills
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to support functional goals and independence
• Reinforce adaptive techniques, therapeutic exercises, and compensatory strategies established by the OT
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
