Job summary

Post Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Eastern Star Home and Campus in Oriskany, NY. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive $27–$32/hour alongside comprehensive benefits.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed OT to help residents improve daily living skills, balance, and functional tasks, document progress, and collaborate with nursing and therapy colleagues to support resident independence.

Qualifications

• Active New York COTA license is required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising OT.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the therapy team.
• Reinforce adaptive techniques, therapeutic activities, and safety strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with OT, PT, SLP, nursing and other team members.

Post Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Eastern Star Home and Campus. This full-time opportunity allows you to work alongside experienced clinicians while helping residents strengthen everyday skills, improve functional abilities, and achieve greater independence.

What You'll Do

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, strengthening, coordination, balance, and functional tasks
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising OT
• Monitor resident progress and communicate relevant changes to the therapy team
• Reinforce adaptive techniques, therapeutic activities, and safety strategies
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with OT, PT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
