Job summary

Community LIFE is a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly, offering in-home and in-center therapy for older adults to help regain or maintain independence in ADLs/IADLs. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position in McKeesport, PA with every-other-Saturday and occasional flex weekday off, mileage reimbursement at federal rate.

Requirements include OTA/L program completion, PA OTA licensure, and a PA Driver’s License, plus at least one year of experience with the frail or elder

Qualifications

• Education: Successful OTA/L program completion approved by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience: Minimum of one year working with the frail or elder population.
• Licensure/Certifications: Current OTA licensure in PA and valid PA Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care and program activities to participants.
• Follow treatment plans established by the OT/L.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of care and messages.

Summary: Our COTA provides in-home and in-center therapy for older adults on an ongoing basis in an effort to help regain or maintain their abilities to remain independent with ADL’s and IADL’s, range of motion, strength and interventions established by a treatment plan from the OT/L. This is a Mon-Fri daylight (7:30am-4:00pm) position, plus every other Saturday - (with flex weekday off). Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal rate.
