Job summary

Community LIFE Somerset in Somerset, PA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L) to provide in-home and in-center therapy for older adults, helping them regain or maintain independence with ADLs and IADLs, ROM, and strength under an OT/L treatment plan.

This daytime, Monday–Friday role follows a structured schedule (7:30am–4:00pm) and offers benefits including paid time off, holidays, health, life and disability insurance, a 403(b), tuition reimbursement, and daily pay

Qualifications

• Successful OTA/L program completion approved by the NABOT or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year working with frail or elder population.
• Current PA OTA licensure and valid PA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and in-center therapy for older adults.
• Follow treatment plans developed by the OT/L.
• Assist patients to regain or maintain independence with ADLs/IADLs, ROM and strength.

About this position

Summary: Our COTA provides in-home and in-center therapy for older adults on an ongoing basis in an effort to help regain or maintain their abilities to remain independent with ADL’s and IADL’s, range of motion, strength and interventions established by a treatment plan from the OT/L. This is a Mon-Fri daylight (7:30am-4:00pm) position. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal rate.

Required Education: Successful OTA/L program completion approved by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Required Experience: Minimum of one year working with the frail or elder population. Required Licensure/Certifications

• Current OTA licensure issued by the state of PA.
• Valid PA Driver’s License
