Life Care Center of Kennewick is a long-term and post-acute care facility known for exceptional customer service, high-quality nursing and therapy services, and high employee morale and retention. We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for full-time or PRN positions to join our team.

We Also Feature
  • Full-time: $35/hr - $45/hr DOE
  • Sign-on/Relocation Bonus: $5,000 for full-time
  • PRN: $45/hr
  • Referral Program: Earn $100 per paycheck for each full-time referral, for up to three years

Position Summary

The COTA provides direct occupational therapy rehab care to patients upon physician referral, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements
  • NBCOT certification upon hire; renewal is optional
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
  • Currently registered/licensed in the applicable state; active license required
  • Preferred: one year experience in post-acute care or related setting
  • CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current
Specific Job Requirements
  • Participate in community health projects as appropriate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Coordinate with patients, families, and support departments to plan patient needs
  • Demonstrate good body mechanics and sound judgment
  • Make independent decisions when warranted
  • Understand laws, regulations, and guidelines related to post-acute care
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain professional relationships and confidentiality
  • Adhere to company policies including harassment and compliance protocols
Essential Functions
  • Follow occupational treatment plans under OT supervision
  • Accurately document patient progress
  • Utilize therapy software effectively
  • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
  • Assist in patient evacuation when needed
  • Maintain dependable attendance
  • Use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Work productively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Perform physical activities as required
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English
