Position Overview

Seeking a Full-Time and/or PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the in-house team at Astoria Healthcare Center, a beautiful SNF in Sylmar, CA. Preferably with 1 year of COTA experience in a LTC/SNF setting.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and team-building approach with patients, clients, and team members.
• Maintain productivity standards as determined by supervisor and clinical needs.
• Apply knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
• Treat patients according to treatment plans.
• Record clinical documentation following regulatory and professional guidelines.
• Record daily treatment charges per billing guidelines.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on restorative/home programs as directed.
• Communicate patient progress, issues, and plans with supervisors and health team members.

Requirements
