Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA is seeking newly certified CNAs or experienced CNAs to join our patient care team. This non-licensed staff member performs nursing support, transport, and a range of tasks under the supervision of the shift nurse, with care across adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, documenting patient data, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and supporting equipment

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification for this position.
• Newly certified CNAs welcome; no previous experience required.
• RN students not yet completed Foundations of Nursing may be enrolled in NGHS PCT Academy if eligible.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report basic patient data (vital signs, weight, urine output).
• Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to licensed staff.
• Conduct rounds, respond to call bells, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare and restock rooms, transport patients and supplies as needed.
• Document accurately and timely in patient records and IT systems.
