Job summary

Barnes Jewish Extended Care at Bethesda Health Group is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our team. You will provide patient care related to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety under the Charge Nurse direction, document in patient records, and support rounds and vital signs, while maintaining resident dignity and comfort.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state you will be working.
• CPR certification, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and to lift heavy objects with assistance when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care related support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and safety as directed by Charge Nurse.
• Document accurately into patient records and complete admission information and rounds.
• Take vital signs, monitor intake and output, and respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
• Assist with transfers, positioning and use of devices, and report changes to Charge Nurse.
