Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a compassionate CNA to provide patient care support across hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and safety under the Charge Nurse. You will document vitals, assist with admissions, and ensure residents are oriented with proper armbands and kits.

You will respond to call lights promptly, complete rounds, and assist with turning, lifting, and mobility tasks while maintaining accurate records and teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

• HS diploma preferred
• Active CNA certification in your state
• CPR certification or willing to obtain within six months
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Excellent verbal communication with patients, visitors, staff
• Time management and organization for productivity
• Stand/walk for long periods
• Lifting with proper technique
• Move patients 200+ lbs with proper technique
• Push/pull heavy equipment with proper technique
• Manual dexterity and coordination
• Documentation skills
• Visual acuity

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and safety as directed by Charge Nurse.
• Document patient records per guidelines; record vitals and intake/output.
• Orient new residents to the facility; ensure arm bands and admission kits are provided.
• Respond to call lights promptly and attend to resident needs.
• Assist with turns/repositions every 2 hours and seating adjustments.
• Assist with transferring/moving patients and operate equipment safely.
