Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a contracted, school-based placement in Boulder, CO for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time Building Float role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Working with The Stepping Stones Group means consistent pay, clinical backing from experienced nurses, and support from a team that understands school-based nursing - not just staffing.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Experience as a nurse's aide or nurse in a school setting.
• Minimum of two years of special education public school classroom experience in addition to medical requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be a flexible team player.
• Only work during student attendance days, with 2–3 training days per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily health office duties and vital signs.
• Assist with health screenings and health office inventory management.
• Report student concerns, injuries, illnesses, and condition changes to the school nurse.
• Implement student care plans as directed by the school nurse.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active CNA certification
• Current BLS CPR certification
• Candidate must have nursing or nurse's aide experience to perform the following duties and be used to:
  • Diapering female students
  • G-tube feeding and cleaning
  • Vents
  • Seizure awareness and protocol
  • Rett outbursts
• Only work during student attendance days, except for 2 or 3 days training during the year
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be a flexible team player
• Must have a minimum of two years of special education public school classroom experience in addition to medical requirements

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work closely with the school nurse to assist with daily health office duties, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with health screenings, managing health office inventory, and cleaning and disinfecting equipment
• Report student concerns, injuries, illnesses, and changes in condition to the school nurse
• Implement student care plans as directed by the school nurse
