Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Fredericktown, OH for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Ohio.
• Graduate of an accredited BSN program.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of nurse delegation practices and state scope-of-practice regulations.
• Ability to work independently and exercise clinical judgment.
• Experience working with a pediatric population.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and manage everyday illnesses (headaches, stomachaches, injuries).
• Monitor students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies, mental health conditions) and implement routine and PRN medications and care per orders.
• Verify medical orders, document medication administration, and safely administer routine and PRN medications.
• Act as the lead responder to medical emergencies on campus.
• Train staff on emergency protocols and equipment use.
• Develop and update IHPs, IEPs, and 504 Plans; participate in meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with parents and school staff regarding students with medical needs.
• Conduct or assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, growth/BMI, blood pressure).
• Delegate and supervise nursing tasks in accordance with state regulations.

COMPENSATION: $36-$42/hr * W-2 Contract *
