Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a contracted, full-time, school-based placement in Union City, CA for the 2026-2027 school year. This building-support role provides nursing services to a local K-12 district.

You will assist building nurses, provide first aid and medication management, and rotate to classrooms to support student health needs with clinical backing and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Active California LVN license.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Pediatric and private duty nursing experience preferred.
• Catheterization, Insulin administration, and vision screenings.
• School-based nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist building nurses with screenings and documentation review.
• Provide first aid care and daily medication management.
• Rotate through classrooms or buildings to administer medications, tube feedings, diabetic care, and other student health needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LVN license in California
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Pediatric and private duty nursing experience preferred
• Catheterization, Insulin Administration, and Vision Screenings
• School-based experience
• Must be willing to ride the school bus with students, as floaters may occasionally cover 1:1 assignments that require transportation
