Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a contracted, school-based placement in Mendota, CA for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time Building Float role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

You will work closely with the school nurse to assist with daily health office duties, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with health screenings, managing health office inventory, and cleaning and disinfecting equipment.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification is required.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based health preferred.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and accountability.
• Ability to support diabetics and other routine care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily health office duties, including obtaining and documenting vital signs.
• Help with health screenings, manage health office inventory, and clean/disinfect equipment.
• Report student concerns, injuries, illnesses and changes in condition to the school nurse; implement care plans as directed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active CNA certification
• Current BLS CPR certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student: support diabetics, boo-boos, sick, etc.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and accountability
• Pediatric and school-based experience preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work closely with the school nurse to assist with daily health office duties, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with health screenings, managing health office inventory, and cleaning and disinfecting equipment

• Implement student care plans as directed by the school nurse
