Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services in St. Charles, MO is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily supportive care to residents under nursing leadership.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and support residents in activities of daily living, feeding, and personal care while promoting their independence and dignity. Responsibilities include responding to call lights, documenting care, supporting care plans, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Missouri: Current CNA certification
• Pennsylvania: Enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completion of the training program, on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry
• A desire to be part of a person-centered care team
• Must be able to communicate with residents
• Prior experience with direct patient/resident care preferable

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ comfort; provide ADL care per scope of practice
• Answer call lights and report observations to the nurse
• Assist with personal care and preserve residents’ dignity
• Observe residents closely and report changes to the nurse
• Participate in care/service plans to improve residents’ lives
• Assist during mealtimes and feed residents who need full assistance
• Create meaningful relationships with residents and families; provide support with compassion
• Assist residents with activities and involvement in daily decisions
• Assist with therapies and treatments under licensed staff
• Document care provided in clinical records
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
