Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services in Missouri seeks a compassionate CNA to provide daily supportive and functional care to residents under nursing leadership. You will respond to call lights, assist with activities of daily living, and support residents’ dignity by encouraging self-care whenever possible.

Work within an interdisciplinary team, document care, participate in care/service plans, assist with meals and therapies, and maintain a safe, respectful residence for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate with residents.
• Prior experience with direct patient/resident care preferable.
• Part of a person-centered care team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ comfort and provide ADL support per scope of practice.
• Answer call lights and requests; report observations to the nurse.
• Assist residents with personal care while promoting dignity and independence.
• Observe residents for changes and communicate with nursing staff.
• Contribute to care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assist with mealtimes and feeding as needed.
• Foster meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Support resident involvement in daily activities and decisions.
• Document care provided in clinical records.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow safety procedures.
