Job summary

Orchard View Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsport, TN is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct, hands-on care to residents and support the nursing team in a safe, person-centered environment.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, vital signs, and accurate documentation, while maintaining a home-like setting and upholding residents' dignity and preferences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current, unencumbered CNA certification in Tennessee.
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred, but training provided for right candidate.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents with or without assistance/equipment.
• Strong communication skills and compassionate, resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, and other observations as directed.
• Document care provided and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and home-like environment for residents, families, and visitors.
• Support residents' dignity, preferences, and independence in accordance with care plans.
• Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
