Job summary

Norris Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Andersonville, TN seeks a dedicated CNA to provide hands-on care for residents and support the nursing team in a safe, compassionate, person-centered environment.

Responsibilities include daily resident care, mobility assistance, vital sign checks, accurate documentation, and collaboration with diverse care teams to uphold residents' dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Current, unencumbered CNA certification for TN.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Ability to lift/move/transfer residents with assistance as needed.
• Strong communication and compassionate, resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning with proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other observations as directed.
• Document care provided and report changes in resident condition to the nurse promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, home-like environment for residents and families.
• Support residents' dignity, preferences, and independence per care plans.
• Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.

• Current, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of Tennessee.
• Previous long‑term care/skilled nursing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents with or without assistance and equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident‑focused approach.
