Job summary

Empro Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a nursing home in Medford, NY. Base pay is $24/hour with overtime at $36/hour and both full-time or part-time shifts available. In-person interview required; the candidate must hold an active NYS CNA license and be able to work every other weekend.

Shifts run 7AM-3PM with flexible scheduling and weekly Thursday direct deposit. Benefits include health insurance after 90 days, 401(k) after 8 months, sick time, and workers’ comp,

Responsibilities

• Geriatric bedside care and assistance with ADLs.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and meals.
• Perform patient transfers using mechanical lifts and assistive devices.
• Document vitals, intake and behavior in EHR systems.
• Coordinate with RNs and LPNs to ensure safe care.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Support patients, families and staff to foster a caring environment.

Location: MEDFORD, NY 11763 (Nursing Home facility)
Base Pay: $24 / hour
Overtime Pay: $36 / hour
Available Shift: 7AM-3PM (Day) - Full-Time & Part-Time hours available!

Mandatory Requirements (No Exceptions)

• Must be able to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Geriatric Care Support: Deliver compassionate, high-quality bedside care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Resident Personal Care: Assist with patient bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, continuous rounding, meal assistance, and dignified personal care needs.
• Patient Transfers: Safely perform mechanical lifts, positioning, turning, and ambulation transfers for long-term care and sub-acute rehab residents. Provide mobility assistance, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
• Clinical Charting: Monitor and record patient vitals, nutritional intake, and behavioral changes into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Floor Collaboration: Coordinate with staff Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to maintain a seamless healthcare environment.
• Support nursing and medical staff in the delivery of quality patient care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff to foster a supportive environment.
• Participate in training and ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care.
