Job summary

Empro Staffing is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Mt Vernon, NY nursing home facility. The role offers $23/hr base pay with overtime at $34.50/hr and weekly pay on Thursday.

Shifts include Day, Evening, and Night; both full-time and part-time hours are available for on-site work. Responsibilities include bedside care, ADL assistance, patient transfers, and basic charting in EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Geriatric care support: assist with ADLs and bedside care.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and meal support.
• Perform patient transfers safely (mechanical lifts, turning, ambulation).
• Record vitals, nutrition, and observations in EHR systems.
• Coordinate with RNs and LPNs for seamless care.
• Maintain a clean, infection-controlled environment.
• Build positive relationships with patients, families, staff.
• Participate in training and ongoing education.

Mandatory Requirements (No Exceptions)

• In-Person Interview Required: Must be able to come to the facility for a brief face-to-face meeting.
• Active NYS CNA License
• Must be able to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Geriatric Care Support: Deliver compassionate, high-quality bedside care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Resident Personal Care: Assist with patient bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, continuous rounding, meal assistance, and dignified personal care needs.
• Patient Transfers: Safely perform mechanical lifts, positioning, turning, and ambulation transfers for long-term care and sub-acute rehab residents. Provide mobility assistance, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
• Clinical Charting: Monitor and record patient vitals, nutritional intake, and behavioral changes into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Floor Collaboration: Coordinate with staff Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to maintain a seamless healthcare environment.
• Support nursing and medical staff in the delivery of quality patient care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff to foster a supportive environment.
• Participate in training and ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care.
