Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in a rehabilitation hospital setting. The CNA provides essential patient care activities under the supervision of a nurse, helping with daily living tasks and comfort to support recovery.

Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent and a state CNA certification where required; BLS certification is mandatory. Prior experience in acute or rehab units is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification as required by state where hospital resides.
• Experience not required; 2–3 years in acute/rehab/skilled nursing settings preferred.

Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
