Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center in Connecticut is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. You will assist residents with ADLs, monitor health, and support mobility under licensed nurses.

We offer competitive hourly wages, a $2.00 shift differential for evenings/overnights, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and full-time/part-time/PRN roles with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing with the CT state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide basic patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor vital signs and intake/output; observe and report changes promptly to nursing staff.
• Provide basic patient care under direction of licensed nurses; assist with repositioning, transfers and mobility to prevent falls.
• Support residents' quality of life and encourage engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols and responding to call lights.

$21.00 - $24.50/hour, based on experience

Shift Differentials: $2.00/HR - evenings and overnights, $1.00/HR - All weekend shifts

Delivering Solutions That Matter

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment by following infection control protocols, responding to call lights, and ensuring residents' comfort and safety throughout the shift.
