Job summary

Creekwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Russellville, KY is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate daily care to our residents. You will assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and vital signs, while building trustful relationships with residents and their families.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of CNA experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Must hold and maintain a current state CNA certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' personal needs: bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record and monitor residents' vital signs and assist with safe transfers and mobility.
• Assist the nursing team by lifting, moving, and transporting residents with proper body mechanics.
• Report changes in residents' condition promptly to nursing staff.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Assist nurses with routine tasks as directed to support resident well-being.

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to the nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.

• Communicate effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.

• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.

• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.
