Job summary

Creekwood Nursing & Rehabilitation in Russellville, KY is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our 104-bed skilled nursing team. We offer day and night full-time shifts, a supportive culture, and opportunities for growth as part of a close-knit staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and participating in discharge planning. Current Kentucky RN license required; LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Kentucky.
• At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares and administers medications as prescribed and records administration details.
• Records patient's medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts equipment used on patients and interprets electronic displays.
• Initiates corrective actions when adverse symptoms appear.
• Participates in discharge planning and provides bedside care as needed.

RN Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Records patient's medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Utilizes time management skills.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

RN Requirements

• Current RN license in the state
• At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
