Job summary

Regency Olympia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Olympia, WA is seeking caring CNAs to provide quality nursing care in a home-like setting. You will support residents with daily activities to enhance their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities include following individualized care plans, assisting with grooming, mobility, feeding, and incontinence care, while protecting residents' belongings, documenting care, and adhering to safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and report changes to staff.
• Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, transferring and mobility.
• Maintain skin integrity; prevent pressure ulcers and skin damage.
• Protect residents' personal belongings and report discrepancies per policy.
• Take vital signs, monitor weights, apply creams, collect specimens, and assist with lifting and transfers.
• Document care and follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Communicate with residents, families, peers and supervisors.

We are looking for caring and compassionate healthcare professionals to join our team.

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently:

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
