Job summary

Hcshiring is seeking a compassionate CNA for immediate day shift placement in Washington. The role offers a new wage scale from $21.50 to $24.95 per hour depending on experience, with evening and night shift differentials available.

You will provide individualized resident care, support dignity and rights, and collaborate with care teams to maintain highest well-being. Applicants must hold a CNA certification in the state and be able to obtain CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Must possess CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with information, changes, and observations of residents' needs.
• Attend to residents' needs including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and ROM.
• Maintain skin integrity by turning and repositioning immobile residents and applying moisturizers.
• Protect residents' personal belongings and report missing items per policy.
• Take vital signs, weights, apply creams, collect specimens, and assist with lifting and transport using proper body mechanics.
• Document care in line with department policies.
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently:

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
