Job summary

Northway-Health-and-Rehabilitation in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver high-quality care under nursing supervision. You will assist residents with daily activities, monitor health changes, and support mobility and safety in a compassionate team setting.

The role offers competitive hourly pay ($14.60–$18.00) with shift differentials, comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision, PTO, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state you are applying for.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to varying shift schedules.
• Current CPR certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, behavior, or condition to nursing staff.
• Provide mobility assistance, including transferring and repositioning residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
• Document care provided and observations in accordance with facility policies.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and caring atmosphere.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
