Job summary

Caring Hospice Services is seeking a Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide compassionate personal care to hospice patients under RN supervision. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, assisting with activities of daily living and following individualized care plans.

This full-time role requires MA CNA certification, reliable transportation, and a compassionate approach. A $3,000 signing bonus is offered to new hires willing to join our caring team.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved CNA training program.
• Certification as a CNA in MA.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in home health or hospice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned tasks on patient assignments and follow care plans.
• Perform delegated tasks as instructed by the RN.
• Bathe patients and assist with showers and baths as appropriate.
• Help patients maintain personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Report changes in patient conditions to supervising RN.

The Hospice Aide works under direct supervision of a registered nurse, and as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing personal care for hospice patients and assisting with activities of daily living.

• Perform delegated tasks as instructed by the RN.
• Bathe patients, assist with showers and partial baths as appropriate.
• Help patients maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activities of daily living.
• Report changes in patient conditions to supervising RN.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved C.N.A training program.
• Certification as a C.N.A in MA.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health or hospice setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility).
• A compassionate attitude toward the care of the sick; the ability to read, write and carry out directions, maturity; and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Must have and maintain a reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and the minimums state required liability auto insurance.
