Job summary

Caring Hospice Services in Mashpee, MA is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide who works under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide compassionate personal care and assist with daily living activities within the interdisciplinary team.

Applicants should have a completed CNA training program and MA CNA certification, plus at least one year of home health or hospice experience and one year of direct client care in an institutional setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved C.N.A training program.
• Certification as a C.N.A in MA.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health or hospice setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting.
• A compassionate attitude toward the care of the sick; the ability to read, write and carry out directions, maturity; and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Must have and maintain a reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and the minimums state required liability auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned tasks on patient assignments and follow Home Health Aide care plans.
• Perform delegated tasks as instructed by the RN.
• Bathe patients, assist with showers and partial baths as appropriate.
• Help patients maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activities of daily living.
• Report changes in patient conditions to supervising RN.
