Job summary

Caring Hospice in Falmouth, MA seeks a qualified Hospice Aide to join our dedicated team, providing personal care under the supervision of a registered nurse and supporting patients with daily living activities.

Required CNA certification in MA and at least 1 year of hospice or hospital-based direct care. A reliable automobile and driver’s license are needed. A $3,000 signing bonus is offered to new hires.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved C.N.A training program.
• Certification as a C.N.A in MA.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health or hospice setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility).
• A compassionate attitude toward the care of the sick; the ability to read, write and carry out directions, maturity; and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned tasks on patient assignments and follow Home Health Aide care plans.
• Perform delegated tasks as instructed by the RN.
• Bathe patients, assist with showers and partial baths as appropriate.
• Help patients maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activities of daily living.
• Report changes in patient conditions to supervising RN.
