Job summary

Caring Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide to join our team and provide compassionate personal care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The role supports the interdisciplinary team, assisting with daily living activities and reporting patient condition changes to the RN. A CNA certification in MA and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of approved CNA training program.
• Certification as a CNA in MA.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health or hospice setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility).
• A compassionate attitude toward the care of the sick; ability to read, write and follow directions, maturity; ability to handle job demands.
• Must have and maintain a reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned tasks on patient assignments and follow Home Health Aide care plans.
• Perform delegated tasks as instructed by the RN.
• Bathe patients, assist with showers and partial baths as appropriate.
• Help patients maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activities of daily living.
