Job summary

Midtown Assisted Living Residence is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, person-centered care. You will support clients with daily activities, hygiene, and essential health monitoring while upholding dignity and privacy.

The role requires a valid CNA certification and a minimum of one year of direct patient care experience in a care facility or equivalent setting. Collaboration with nursing staff and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited High School or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Must be a certified nursing assistant with proof of certification.
• Minimum of one-year full-time direct patient care experience in an institution setting or equivalent within last five years.
• Work positively with clients, families, and staff.
• Demonstrate compassion, responsibility and cheerful attitude.
• Certified and in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene to clients, including bathing, oral care, and dressing
• Assist with vital signs, intake/output, and other measurements as instructed in care plans
• Observe and report any safety hazards or significant observations regarding clients
• Attend staff meetings, complete annual in-services, and participate in orientation of new employees
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA requirements and agency policy and procedures manual
• Perform delegated tasks by the RN, including non-invasive and non-sterile treatments, collection and documentation of vital signs, ambulation, positioning, and turning, transportation, and personal hygiene

Requirements

• A minimum of one-year full-time experience in direct patient care in an institution setting (hospital or nursing facility) or one-year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care or an agency setting
