Job summary

Heritage Villa is seeking compassionate Certified Nurse Assistants to join our team in Oklahoma. Shift options include evenings, nights, and PRN, with a focus on resident care and teamwork in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Must pass a state-issued exam.
• Required valid certification as a CNA in the state of Oklahoma.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises.
• Provide for personal care and comfort.
• Move residents to wheelchairs or activity areas.
• Assist with ambulation for short distances.
• Take and record vitals and input/output as directed.
• Provide direct and indirect resident care services.
• Meet communication needs of residents and family.
• Communicate changes in residents’ condition to nursing team.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Available Shifts:

• Evenings- Monday - Friday; 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
• Nights- Monday - Friday; 10:30 pm - 6:30 am
• PRN

Essential Functions of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA):

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Assists resident with range of motion exercises
• Provides for personal care and comfort
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas
• Assists residents with ambulation for short distance in center
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Meets the communication needs of resident and family
• Communicates to nursing team changes in residents’ clinical condition
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA):

• High School diploma or general equivalency is preferred
• Must pass a state-issued exam
• Required valid certification as a CNA in the state of Oklahoma
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
