Job summary

Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). New grads are welcome.

We offer full-time roles with Day shifts 6:30 AM–6:30 PM and Night shifts 6:30 PM–6:30 AM to support our residents. Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Missouri CNA.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families, and facility staff.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists resident with range of motion exercises.
• Provides for personal care and comfort.
• Movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists residents with ambulation for short distances within the facility.
• Takes and records vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services.
• Communicates changes in residents’ clinical condition to the nursing team.

Essential Functions of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs

• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Meets the communication needs of resident and family
• Communicates to nursing team changes in residents’ clinical condition
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications of Certified Nurse Aide (CNA):

• Valid certification as a CNA in the state of Missouri
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff
