Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Missouri is seeking a compassionate Transportation Driver (CNA) to move residents, staff and guests to events while upholding safety and care standards.

This full-time role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus, competitive pay, PTO after 30 days, tuition reimbursement, and a company 401(k). Health, dental and vision insurance are provided, along with ongoing appreciation events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Required Missouri CNA certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Must be able to operate a vehicle.
• Valid Missouri Class E Driver's License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents, staff, and visitors to scheduled events.
• Coordinate transportation services with the center staff.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using safe procedures.
• Operate mechanical lift for wheelchair users.
• Prepare necessary paperwork before leaving center with residents.
• Maintain vehicle logs and report any maintenance needs.
• Follow safety and Resident Rights policies.
• Dress professionally and represent the center.

Essential Functions of Transportation Driver (CNA):

• Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events.
• Coordinates transportation services with appropriate staff members
• Assists residents in and out of the vehicle, using proper safety procedures
• Operates mechanical lift as required for wheelchair bound patients
• Follows written and verbal before leaving center with residents
• Obtain appropriate paperwork before leaving center with resident
• Assess and correct inappropriate resident appearance before leaving center
• Follow Resident’s Rights
• Follow center safety protocol
• Dress professional and represent the center in a professional manner
• Monitors and reports necessary mechanical maintenance needed to ensure safe operations of vehicle, including reporting of any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
• Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditions
• Maintains records such as vehicle logs and destinations are required
• Reports any issues or problem that may arise to the Transportation Coordinator and Administrator
• Complies with state, federal and all other applicable health care and safety standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications of Transportation Driver (CNA):

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
• Required valid certification as a CNA in the state of Missouri
• Must be CPR certified
• Must be able to operate a vehicle
• Valid State Insurance and Class E Driver's License with no marks on their driving record
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
