Job summary

Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Morgan in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Certified Nurse Aide to provide routine daily nursing care in line with resident assessments and care plans. Shift 6am-6pm, full-time position.

The CNA will assist residents with bathing, feeding, dressing, and daily activities, monitor intake, and report changes to the Charge Nurse. A CNA license is required, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but required.
• Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, feeding, dressing, and daily routines with attention to safety and comfort.
• Observe and report vital signs and changes in residents to the Charge Nurse.
• Follow resident care plans and policies; help with mobility, transfers and daily tasks.
• Maintain clean, safe and respectful care environments; participate in care team communication.

Primary Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.

Essential Functions

• Assist resident in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse
• Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries
• Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to Charge Nurse

Qualifications / Educational/Training Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but to required

Licensing Requirements

Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license

Experience Requirements

• Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred
• Must be at least 16 years of age
