Job summary

Corpus Christi Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for a full-time 6am–2pm shift to provide routine daily nursing care and support for residents.

You will assist residents with activities of daily living, measure and report vital signs, and communicate changes to the Charge Nurse to support care plans. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid CNA license; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Must hold valid CNA license.
• Experience in long-term care is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily care tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs as directed by the Charge Nurse.
• Observe residents and report symptoms, changes or concerns to the Charge Nurse.
• Contribute to resident care plans by sharing observations and knowledge.
• Carry out duties in accordance with resident care policies and procedures.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.

Primary Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.

Essential Functions

• Assist resident in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls
• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure
• Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse
• Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries
• Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans
• Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to Charge Nurse

Qualifications

Educational/Training Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but to required

Licensing Requirements

• Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license

Experience Requirements

• Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred
• Must be at least 16 years of age
