Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks skilled welders to certify on multi-process tubes, proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW. Position involves laying out, aligning and welding fabricated components per blueprints and metallurgy to form frames, tanks, vessels, and pipework.

Role may require x-ray qualities and strict adherence to safety and project rules. Candidates should be able to work in various positions, perform maintenance, and support team mechanics as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding.
• Able to read blueprints and metallurgy specifications.
• Ability to maintain welding quality and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or materials per specifications.
• Plans layouts, assembly and welding according to geometry and metal properties.
• May use various welding processes including GMAW, SMAW, GTAW and FCAW.
• Lays out, positions, and fits components for assembly and welding.
• Ensures welds meet specified bead size and fusion requirements.
