Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a skilled Welder to operate MIG and FCAW processes on poles up to 84 inches in diameter. You will read blueprints, set fixtures, and weld to AWS standards while maintaining safe, efficient production on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Candidates must hold MIG/FCAW certifications and be able to work in a fast-paced shop, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate related equipment. Join a Fortune 1000 company commited to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years welding experience.
• Must maintain AWS, CWB and customer certifications.
• Ability to read and decipher complex blueprints and flat sheets.
• Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment and related tools.
• Ability to perform precise measurements and math calculations.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Set fixtures and jigs to blueprint measurements.
• Weld and clean welds to specified quality.
• Record labor and move tags upon completion.
• Load and unload completed parts.
• Identify weld quality issues and report to QA or supervisor.
• Set up machines per requirements to produce usable parts.
• Follow welding procedures to ensure weld integrity and pass inspections.
