Job summary

Legacy Senior Living is seeking a Medication Assistant to ensure residents receive medications safely and compassionately. You will follow the six rights, document actions, and maintain a stocked cart, while supporting overall resident wellbeing in a faith-driven environment.

As part of the care team, you’ll provide services per each resident’s plan, monitor for adverse reactions, and report concerns to the Wellness Nurse or supervisor. Strong English communication and integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• Properly assist with/administer scheduled medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and residence policy.
• Provide personalized care and services to residents, uphold residence policies and procedures, and ensure residents’ rights to safe, prompt, and confidential treatment.

Responsibilities

• Follow the six rights of medication administration—right resident, drug, dosage, time, route, and record.
• Document all medication actions clearly and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized medication cart or cabinet.
• Provide treatments as outlined in each resident’s service plan.
• Report any medication errors or concerns to the Wellness Nurse or supervisor.
• Support dining, housekeeping, and personal care as needed to ensure a home-like environment.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies with professionalism and compassion.
• Attend required trainings and communicate updates to the team.
