Job summary

The Legacy Senior Communities is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living, including medication administration and coordination with pharmacy providers. This role emphasizes compassionate care in a senior living setting with emphasis on adherence to physician orders and resident safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, dining support, and collaborating with the Lifestyles Coordinator

Qualifications

• Current CMA certificate in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records resident’s vital signs and weight.
• Administers and documents medications per physician orders (oral, topical, and suppository; eye/ear drops).
• Reorders prescriptions and coordinates with pharmacy providers.
• Observes, records, and reports medication effects.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Answers resident calls for assistance.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Assists and monitors residents during dining.
• Assists residents with light housekeeping and trash removal.
• Assists Lifestyles Coordinator with activities for residents.
