Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota, part of a large nonprofit senior care provider, is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to deliver resident-centered nursing care under a charge nurse's supervision. Duties include vital signs, daily living assistance, and medication administration within state scope.

PRN shifts vary, with location premium and shift differentials. The role requires a CMA/CNA certification per state requirements, 18+ and a GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Active CMA/TMA or CNA certification as per state requirements.
• Must meet state-specific CMA/CNA requirements (Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota).

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and mobility.
• Participate in wellness and recreational programs and assist with dining.
