Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our skilled nursing team. The CMA administers medications, monitors residents, documents accurately, and supports a safe, compassionate care environment.

This full-time role with morning and evening shifts includes every other weekend and PRN opportunities, offering flexible hours and the chance to make a meaningful difference in residents' daily lives.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Current Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A) and Medication Aide (CMA) certifications as required by Nebraska regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work with diverse teams.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document medication administration accurately and report discrepancies to the supervising nurse.
• Monitor residents' vital signs and health status; communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, organized medication storage; follow infection control policies.
• Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and families to coordinate care plans.
• Complete all required documentation, including MARs and health observations.
