Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our Nursing department. This full-time position involves administering prescribed medications, monitoring residents' health, and ensuring a safe, compassionate environment for our residents.

Exact schedule is FT 6a-230p and 2p-1030p with every other weekend; PRN with varied hours available. Requirements include a high school diploma, Nebraska CMA/CNA certifications, strong communication, and ability

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional relevant training or coursework in healthcare or medication administration is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Certifications: CNA and CMA certifications required by Nebraska regulations.
• Communications: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
• Physical: Ability to lift and transfer residents; withstand physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration following physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor residents and document vital signs and medication effects.
• Maintain clean, organized medication storage and follow safety procedures.
• Provide compassionate assistance and support to residents and families.
• Coordinate with nurses and doctors to ensure care plans are followed.
• Complete required documentation, including MARs and health observations.
