Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our Nursing team in Columbus, NE. The role supports residents by administering medications, monitoring health, and maintaining a safe environment.

The position runs full-time days from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with every other weekend, reporting to the DON. Ideal candidates are dependable, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a passion for resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CMA certification as required by Nebraska regulations.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assist and transfer residents and work with a diverse team.

Responsabilités

• Administer prescribed medications to residents per facility protocols and orders.
• Observe and document changes in residents’ conditions and vital signs.
• Maintain clean, organized med storage and follow infection control protocols.
• Provide compassionate assistance to residents respecting their needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with nurses, doctors and other professionals to coordinate care plans.
• Accurately complete medication administration records and health observations.
