Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our nursing team on a part-time/PRN basis. You will administer prescribed medications, document accurately, and monitor residents' health under the supervision of the DON.

This role focuses on resident safety, infection control, and compassionate care, with rotating weekends. Strong attention to detail and experience with electronic health records are valued.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Certifications: CMA certification and CNA as required by Nebraska regulations.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Physical: Ability to lift and transfer residents.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications per orders and document.
• Resident Monitoring: Observe changes in residents’ conditions and report to nursing staff.
• Health and Safety: Maintain clean, organized medication storage and follow infection control.
• Resident Support: Provide compassionate, respectful assistance to residents.
• Communication: Coordinate care with nurses and doctors and inform families as needed.
• Documentation: Complete medication records and health observations accurately.
