Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD, seeks a Medication Assistant to deliver resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. You will monitor vitals, assist with activities of daily living, and administer medications as delegated, while documenting care and communicating changes to the charge nurse.

The role includes aiding with meals, housekeeping, and participating in wellness activities. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with full-time daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 18 or older.
• Annual competency testing and CE credits required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance if applicable.
• State CMA/CNA certifications as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under supervision.
• Administer prescribed meds as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, meds, behavior, activity, and diet outcomes.
• Communicate changing conditions to the charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and wellness/recreational activities.
• Participate in committees as needed.
