Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support at the Canistota facility. You will assist with basic health tasks, administer medications as directed, and document care activities under supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, and bring prior long-term care experience when possible. A CMA/TMA certification requirement may apply by state regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• When applicable, CMA/TMA certification may be required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility as needed.
• Support wellness and recreational activities for residents.
